He is in his early 40s, Canadian, and has experience living abroad. He holds a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University and has over 10 years of experience in the human services field. Driven by compassion and a search for life meaning, Hayden started his helping journey over 10 years ago, volunteering as a mentor for Indigenous youth in Downtown Eastside Vancouver. Currently, he is also working at an inpatient treatment centre for men’s addictions and mental health. He has a significant amount of training in a wide variety of therapy modalities which allows him to be able to work successfully with a wide variety of clients. He has a relaxed, non-judgmental, patient, and authentic approach to his sessions. Hayden specializes in working with men who are experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, addictions (non 12-step), grief and loss, trauma/PTSD, and relationship issues/attachment. He also focuses on supporting clients who would like to work on emotional regulation (Anger management) and clients who want to engage in personal exploration surrounding boundary work, communication skills, meaning, purpose, and self-esteem.
